Heart Protocol
Fourteen days. One roommate. One very sleepy spider protogen.
You've just moved in with Vexen. He hangs off the ceiling, gets flustered when you stand too close, and makes clones of himself when he can't handle his feelings. In two weeks you decide: sign the lease, or pack your boxes.
## What you do
- Live through 14 days: a morning, an evening and a night every day
- Make choices and read Vexen's reactions. There are no visible numbers, only how he acts around you
- Wander the apartment in free time, and click Vexen for a head pat, a hug, a kiss or a chat
- Play two little games: clean his feet on the couch, and scrub his back in the shower before the hot water runs out
- Reach one of three endings, then unlock an After Story

HOW TO INSTALL
WINDOWS
1. Download HeartProtocol.exe and put it in a folder.
2. Double-click it. There's no installer.
3. If Windows says it "protected your PC", click "More info", then "Run anyway". The game isn't code-signed, so Windows warns about every unknown app.
ANDROID
1. Download heart-protocol.apk on your phone.
2. Tap the file. If Android asks, allow "Install unknown apps" for your browser or file manager.
3. If Play Protect warns you, choose "Install anyway".
4. Open Heart Protocol from your app list. Turn your phone sideways: the game plays in landscape.
MAC
1. Download HeartProtocol-macos.zip and double-click it to unzip.
2. Right-click "Heart Protocol.app" and choose Open, then click Open again. Do this the first time only. The app isn't notarized, so a normal double-click is blocked.
3. If it says the app is "damaged", open Terminal and run:
xattr -cr "/path/to/Heart Protocol.app"
(type the command, then drag the app into the Terminal window to fill the path). Then open it as above.
LINUX
1. Download HeartProtocol-linux.tar.gz.
2. In a terminal, run:
tar -xzf HeartProtocol-linux.tar.gz
chmod +x HeartProtocol.x86_64
./HeartProtocol.x86_64
3. It's a 64-bit x86 build and needs an OpenGL-capable graphics driver.
SAVES
Saves and settings are stored on your device. They don't carry over between platforms.
